What are the costs involved?
All of the package prices are yearly payments. This covers each release and includes free UPC (barcode), ISRCodes and all of the other great Kisumusik features.

What percentage of my earnings does Kisumusik take?

We do not take any money from your earnings; you keep 100% of all royalties.

Is this an exclusive service?
NO! Kisumusik is unique because all we do is deliver your release to the stores we deliver to (Ie: Itunes, Emusic, etc..).  We only ask you that the releases you send to us are not re-distributed by any other distributor, competitor, and/or direct contact as they will deny it and it will cause issues for you and us.

We understand that you may have agreements with other stores and thus don’t force you to give up those agreements when you join our service.

What happens if I want to take my music down?

You will notice that other distributors charge you for taking your music down. We rarely have artists wanting to remove their music from Kisumusik and it’s usually due to them wanting to change their release, they have been signed or maybe that particular sound does not represent them anymore. Well if that’s true, we don’t see why you should have to pay us just to handle some small paperwork for you. So we do this for free.

With you being a UK company, how does it affect me if I am outside of the UK?

The barcodes that we assign you are international so it doesn’t make any difference to your release. We can make you chart eligible in UK, US and Ireland.

If I cannot find my release upon release date, what should I do?

If you have any problems on release day or questions leading up to release week then you can give us a call and get it  quickly sorted out. Or just drop us an email and we will respond as quickly as possible. Good communication is paramount to your success and we want to be as contactable as possible. Office phone number and email address is on our contact page.

What dimensions should the artwork be in and what kind of thing do you want?

Artwork can be in one of the following file formats: JPG, GIF or PNG. The image must be a perfect square and at least 1600x1600. All artwork must be in best-quality RGB Colour mode (including black and white images) and must have a resolution of at least 72 dpi. You may not include: email addresses, URLs, any other contact information or  any pricing information. You must include both the artist name and album title on the artwork and remove any stickers or other items from your artwork in case you are scanning it in from a physical CD.

What happens if a label wants to sign us?

Kisumusik is totally non-exclusive and you are free to opt out at any time. All we need is written confirmation and we will remove your music from the stores within the next few days.

Can I give away my music for free on sites like iTunes?

No. Download stores have to pay VAT and PRS for every track that is sold, even if it does not have a price attached. So it would not make sense for them to give music away for free.

Do I have to be at least 18 years old to get an account?

No! But you do have to be at least 18 years old to do a financial transaction. If you have music you'd like to put into our service and you are under 18 years old, ask for help from a parent or guardian.

What format must my music be in, in order to upload to Kisumusik?

We have found .wav files to be the most reliable and therefore recommend them first and foremost. Remember that they must be set at a 44.1 khz sample rate, 16 bit sample size and the channel set to stereo. Not sure how to convert your music?

What makes up a song?

We call a "song" (some people call them "tracks") any piece of music or sound that appears on an album, even if it's the only item on the album. No matter how short it is, it's still a song: every audio file you send us is considered a song, even if it's called "Part One" of a larger work. Songs are separate from one another, even if artistically they belong together as sections of a larger work.

My question is not listed here, what do i do?
